The best vacation wardrobe is small, mixes easily and works from the pool to dinner without a full outfit change. This edit pairs our swimwear with the dresses and separates we'd actually pack: an off-shoulder beach dress you can throw over a bikini, slip maxis for dinner on the terrace, and a button slit denim skirt that goes over swim bottoms or with a top for exploring town.

Build your suitcase around two or three bikinis in colours that work with the same cover-ups, then add one maxi dress per two nights of dinners. Prints like palm and leopard hide sand and sunscreen marks; solids give you more mix-and-match options.
